Biography
With more than 25 years of proxy solicitation experience, John brings unrivaled knowledge, energy and enthusiasm into every engagement.
John began his career at Citigroup where he initially worked on a mortgage desk. During 1993, John joined the proxy solicitation firm Morrow & Co. where he provided strategic advice and insight on corporate governance, shareholder activism and M&A issues to some of the largest companies in the world.
During his career at Morrow, John worked closely with corporate executive as well as fund managers on public and in private situations to develop and implement tailored strategies for each situation. John has been an active player in the modern corporate governance movement for more than two decades and has supported clients both on the company and shareholder side throughout the evolution of the shareholder activist environment.
With significant experience in contested situations, M&A, corporate governance consulting and shareholder identification combined with robust relationships across the investor community, John brings unique well-rounded insight as a trusted advisor. John and his colleagues understand that no two situations are alike and there is not a “one size fits all” approach for the special situations Saratoga specializes in.
John has been a frequent speaker to Boards and at events hosted by the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals, NIRI, SSA and on other industry panels.
